Terms of Service

Last updated: October 5, 2026

These terms cover your use of Perfect Summary: the website at perfectsummary.com, our apps, our podcast and what we sell. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Perfect Summary is

We publish summaries of podcast episodes and books, and articles that bring together what several experts said on one question: "giving you the GIST so you can decide if you want the REST." Our summaries are independent commentary. The shows, episodes and books belong to their creators, and each summary links to the original so you can go to the source.

Not professional advice

Much of what we summarize is about health, money, law and relationships. A summary reports what the people in a conversation or the author of a book said. It is not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and it is no substitute for a professional who knows your situation. Don't start, stop or change a treatment or a medication because of something you read, heard or watched here.

We work to summarize accurately, but summaries are made with the help of automated tools and can contain mistakes. If something matters to you, check it against the original.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Give us a working email address. One person per account: what you buy is for your own use.

What you buy

Mini guide books, cheat sheets, flashcards and bundles are licensed to you for personal use, to read and study in your library on our site and apps. Please don't copy, share, resell or republish them. Prices are shown before you pay; payments are handled by our payment providers. Our refund policy is part of the privacy and refunds page.

Private summaries you request are for your own use too, and they stay private: we don't publish them.

Using the site fairly

Please don't copy the library in bulk, scrape it, resell it, or use it to train or build a competing service; don't try to break the site, get around its limits or reach other people's accounts. For licensing or the API, see the products page or contact us.

YouTube

We use YouTube API Services, and some pages show videos hosted on YouTube. By using those features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Summaries may list books and products that were mentioned, with links to other sites. Some are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may be paid a commission at no extra cost to you. We aren't responsible for other sites or for what they sell.

If something goes wrong

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Perfect Summary is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the service, and our total liability for a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters to people who have already bought something, we'll tell them by email before it takes effect.
